Maddie Ballard wants to be an actress, but on the road to fame she needs some way to pay the bills. She also wants a dog, but can’t afford the $1000 fee her apartment requires for one. The solution? She can make money by walking dogs! Wags is a new app that uses the same concept as Uber or Postmates: an independent contractor turns on the app, and a client picks the closest person to do a service.

It’s a win-win. People in NY can go to brunch or work or wherever their heart desires, and Maddie can hang out with dogs and make money.
